Prison Time for the Saved

Nothing should stops a criminal who experiences a religious reawakening, from seeing out the remainder of his forgiven days from behind prison bars. A self-awarded notion of absolution from eternal damnation doesn't translate automatically into society rescinding its requirement of remedy for past crimes on this planet. Whilst still composed of atoms in a living earthly configuration, criminals are subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which their crimes were committed right up until their constituent particles transform into their future imaginary compositions. Meanwhile, during a criminal's clichéd tenure of time for the crime, his supporters should revel in their delusional expectation of a happy reunion when they all transcend this existence and coalesce into whatever unmeasurable future state awaits them. Society doesn't owe criminals an indefinite extension of privilege just because these wrongdoers have convinced fellow future residents of the mothership that they have forgiven themselves.
